The event, which took place on June 26th, 2024, at Accra’s Alisa Hotel, brought together over 150 participants, including Yango partners, drivers, passengers, and representatives from various safety organizations. The forum included in-depth training sessions on identifying signs of impairment, strategies to prevent drunk driving, and guidance on using Yango’s services as safe transportation alternatives.

Mr. Ofonime Tom, Country Manager of Yango Ghana, underscored the campaign’s pivotal role in advancing road safety and ensuring the welfare of drivers and passengers alike. He emphasized Yango’s commitment to fostering secure transportation options while empowering partner drivers economically.

Lynessa Darko, Sustainability and Responsibility Manager at Guinness Ghana PLC, commended the collaborative effort with Yango and urged similar industry initiatives to prioritize stakeholder safety.

The ‘Don’t Drink and Drive’ campaign is a significant step towards promoting responsible road behaviour and creating a safer community in Ghana. Yango and Guinness are unwavering in their commitment to enhancing safety measures and fostering an environment conducive to economic growth and societal well-being.

This initiative aligns with Yango’s broader dedication to safety, exemplified through initiatives like the recent ‘Safety Talk Series’, which aims to educate the public on critical road safety protocols.
