The Young Patriots, a pro-NPP group will resort to a conference to express their grievances over recent past political developments, after the police secured an order Monday to stop a planned demonstration.
Members and sympathisers of the group were to march on the streets Tuesday, 8 January, 2013 to protest against the new government.
The New Patriotic Party ? and by extension, the Young Patriots ? have maintained that the 7 and 8 December elections were rigged to favour the incumbent, John Dramani Mahama, who was Monday sworn-in by the Chief Justice as the fourth President under Ghana?s fourth republican Constitution.
The police said they will not be able to provide protection on the scheduled day of protest but until they obtained the restraining order the group insisted defying the police caution.
