During the National Democratic Congress (NDC) “Enough is Enough” demonstration, some youth visited the controversial National Cathedral site in Accra.
Videos from the visit, which have since gone viral, showed participants swimming in a rainwater-filled pond on the site, raising questions about the government’s reported expenditure of GH₵400 million for construction.
Calls for accountability have intensified, with NDC Member of Parliament Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor urging an investigation into the project’s financial oversight.
In a social media post, he questioned the value of the funds spent, highlighting the broader implications for governance and accountability as the nation approaches the December elections.
