YouthConnekt Month 2015 Ends

The Minister of Youth and ICT, Jean Philbert Nsengimana addressing youth in Kirehe District in Eastern Province on Saturday at the official closing of YouthConnekt Month 2015 encourages the youth in Rwanda to keep working hard and stay focused to achieve their goals.
Kirehe Youth Friendly Center has been inauguratedYouthConnekt Month creates opportunities for youth to exchange ideas and views on the future of Rwanda and propose solutions to the identified challenges.
While closing the YouthConnekt Month, Minister Nsengimana encouraged the youth to keep working hard to achieve their goals; stressed that ?True success is a long journey that requires focus and commitment. It?s better to start savings at a young age to finance your future economic needs as adults.?
Four million of youth across Rwanda participated in different activities ranging from those in line with economic empowerment, social contribution and the use of ICT as tool for development.
Other activities include supporting vulnerable persons and survivors of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi, awareness campaign for ?one cell one cooperative? and visit to role model youth cooperatives at cell level, and facilitate registration of new cooperatives.
At the closing ceremony of YouthConnekt Month in Kirehe, the Youth Friendly Center inaugurated where the Governor of Eastern Province, Odette Uwamariya urges the youth in Kirehe to use the Youth Friendly centre productively; ?You can achieve what you want by embracing the culture of hard work,? noted Uwamariya.
This year?s YouthConnekt Month launched in Nyamasheke District on 2 May in Western Province. It was organized by the Ministry of Youth and ICT in partnership with the National Youth Council, Imbuto Foundation, MINALOC, MIGEPROF, MINISPOC, One UN, DOT Rwanda, all districts, Youth organisations and faith based organisations.
