Two unnamed clubs in Nigeria have contacted Yusif Abubakar with a job offer of becoming their head coach, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The former Hearts of Oak trainer is available after terminating his contract at Heart of Lions.
Abubakar in a meeting with Lions chairman Randy Abbey on Thursday decided to bilaterally terminate the remaining year on his three-year contract following the club’s demotion from the Ghanaian top flight.
The former Berekum Chelsea coach is however not short of options with two unnamed Nigerian clubs hot on his heels.
“Yes there are two clubs in Nigeria that have expressed interest,” Abubakar confirmed to GHANAsoccernet.com.
“I am assessing the offers and hopefully talks will be concluded soon.”
Yusif Abubakar will is expected to fly into Nigeria next week to complete talks once initial negotiations progress.
