Zambia recorded 188 road traffic accidents during the Africa Freedom Day holiday, with eight of them being fatal one, police said on Tuesday.,

Godfrey Chilabi, assistant police spokesperson, said the accidents were recorded from May 24 to 28 across the country.

He said 20 of the accidents were serious ones that left 58 people seriously injured while 42 were minor accidents that left 52 people with slight injuries.

Lusaka, the country’s capital, recorded the highest number of accidents at 90, followed by the Copperbelt Province with 31. Enditem
