The Zambian government said on Wednesday that it has screened over 1,200 people for the COVID-19 so far.
Chief Government Spokesperson Dora Siliya however said no one has tested positive.
Speaking when United States Charge D’Affaires to Zambia David Young paid a courtesy call on her, Siliya, who is also Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services, said the government will begin a nationwide campaign to sensitize people on the effects and prevention of the coronavirus.
On his part, the American envoy said the novel coronavirus was a challenge to the world and urged the media in Zambia to be proactive and spread knowledge about prevention. Enditem
