Zambian Vice-President Inonge Wina is expected to attend the European Union (EU) and Africa Summit being held in Ivory Coast, a senior government official said on Monday.

The 5th EU-Africa Summit will be held from November 29 to 30 in the Ivorian capital of Abidjan under the central theme “Investing in Youth for a Sustainable Future Together.”

Susan Sikaneta, Zambia’s Permanent Representative to the African Union (AU), said the vice-president will be among several heads of state and government leaders at this year’s summit, which will bring together more than 60 leaders from the two regions to discuss the future of EU-Africa relations.

The Zambian vice-president was expected to arrive in Abidjan on Tuesday, according to a statement.

The Zambian AU envoy added that the vice-president and other leaders will discuss the Africa-EU partnership as well as tackle the issues of peace, security, governance, human rights, migration and mobility. Enditem
