Zambian President Edgar Lungu on Friday said he expected increased investment from Israel after his visit to that country.
Lungu was this week on a five-day state visit to Israel at the invitation of Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Arising from this successful mission are investment opportunities in the agriculture, tourism, health, communications, water and energy sectors, among others,” Lungu wrote on his Facebook page at the end of the visit.
The Zambian leader said he toured a number of industries during his visit and added that his administration expects transference of knowledge and technology in a number of areas.
He has since promised to do everything possible to position Zambia as the best investment destination in Africa.
The visit, he said, has opened doors to enhance cooperation with Israel. Enditem
