Zambian President Edgar Lungu on Thursday congratulated his counterparts from Nigeria and Senegal on their re-elections in recently held elections.
In his congratulatory messages to Nigerian President Muhammad Buhari, Lungu said his re-election as president for a second term was a clear affirmation of the confidence vested in him by the people to lead the nation towards political, social and economic prosperity.
The Zambian leader reaffirmed his government’s unyielding commitment to further strengthening the relations between Zambia and Nigeria at both the bilateral and multilateral levels for the betterment of the two countries and Africa at large.
Meanwhile, Lungu congratulated Senegalese President Macky Sall on his re-election as president for a second term of office.
Lungu commended the people of Senegal for the peaceful conduct of the electoral process and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to further consolidating relations between the two countries. Enditem
