Online trading has become a norm with Zambians who have resolved to continue business amid COVID-19, an industry group said on Wednesday.
Samuel Musonda, president of Chililabombwe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said Zambians are focused and determined to continue trading despite the disruption by COVID-19.
“What we looking forward to is to see our members continue with their business following the easing up of some of the novel coronavirus restrictive measures,” he said.
According to Musonda, traders that have been attending trade forums in China were equipped on how to trade with the Chinese online.
Musonda said the world is a global village and that trade was being conducted at a press of a button through online platforms.
Further, Musonda has called for strong partnerships between Chinese and Zambians to create an environment that will result in increased employment in Zambia.
He has since called on the industry groups both in Zambia and China to work with the two governments to create enabling environment to facilitate partnerships.
“Zambians are likely to benefit from the Chinese expertise and skills, this will enable our members to also acquire knowledge in technology,” he said.
Musonda said China and Zambia will continue to facilitate trade between its commerce and industry groups. Enditem
