Zambia has penalized all the three mobile network operators for failure to observe rules, its telecommunication and information technology regulator said on Monday.

The mobile network operators have been fined 3.1 million Zambian Kwacha (about 310,000 U.S. dollars) for failing to adhere to the quality of service parameters as outlined in the guidelines in the third quarter of 2017, according to the Zambia Information Communication Technology Authority (ZICTA).

According to a statement, the three mobile network operators failed to meet some of the set parameters in quality service which included set-up success rate, mean opinion score, successful short messaging system and delivery time. Enditem
