Officially launched in 2011, the Afro Entertainment Awards honors the contributions of multi-genre artists and entrepreneurs in the ?Afro-Entertainment? Industry?with a focus to educate, inspire, and nurture through entertainment. The philanthropic goal of the Afro Entertainment Awards is to enhance the lives of individuals in need, by supporting both local and international charities through fund-raising and community advocacy. Nominations for the Afro Entertainment Awards 2012 were submitted by the general public, and deemed eligible by a non-biased board of directors. The public voting process will take place until Friday, October 19, ?12 ? at which time votes will be tabulated by a contracted company to determine the Afro Entertainment Awards 2012 recipients.
