Alhaji Said Sinare, the National Chairman of the Zongo Caucus Working Committee and former National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) solidified the party’s commitment to Northern Region development during his recent engagements with key Northern chiefs.
Following the NDC’s campaign launch in Tamale last Saturday, Alhaji Sinare visited the Yoo Naa Palace and Gulkpe Naa’s Palace, where he held constructive discussions with paramount chiefs to garner their endorsement for John Dramani Mahama’s 2024 presidential candidacy.
Alhaji Sinare emphasized the chiefs’ influential roles in the region and the NDC’s pledge to prioritize comprehensive development initiatives.
These include tackling economic disparities, improving educational opportunities, enhancing healthcare services, creating jobs, bolstering security measures, and addressing infrastructure deficiencies.
At the Yoo Naa Palace, the paramount chief stressed the urgent need for irrigation dam projects to ensure food security and support local farmers. Alhaji Sinare conveyed this message to John Dramani Mahama, assuring the chiefs of the NDC’s commitment to fulfilling these crucial needs.
Alhaji Sinare reaffirmed the NDC’s dedication to revitalizing the Northern Region, aiming to unleash its full potential and safeguard Ghana’s food sovereignty.
He underscored the party’s resolve to redress developmental gaps left unattended during the current administration, which Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia led.
