An Accra Circuit Court has granted GHC200,000 bail to Adams Sanogo and Rabiu Falilu, who are accused of burglarizing Lillian Kumah, the widow of former deputy finance minister John Kumah.

Sanogo, a trader, and Falilu, a recent senior high school graduate, face various conditions, including providing two sureties each. One of them must be a public or civil servant earning at least GHC3,000 per month. Their employers must verify their pay slips.

The court presided over by Isaac Addo, has scheduled the next hearing for September 3, 2024.

Sanogo and his accomplice, Kwame Dunga—who remains at large—allegedly stole significant items from Kumah, including US$50,000, GHC50,000, and various electronics and accessories.

The stolen items include an iPhone 15 Pro Max, an Apple iPad, and a Samsung Z Fold phone.

The police arrested Falilu on July 24, 2024, after discovering him possessing Kumah’s iPhone 15 Pro Max. Falilu led authorities to Sanogo, who admitted to selling the stolen phone. The police are continuing their search for Dunga.
