Equatorial Guinea reports first death from coronavirus

Equatorial Guinea has registered its first case of death from the novel coronavirus, the central African nation’s ministry of health and social welfare said on Wednesday.

According to the ministry, the person concerned was a resident of the capital Malabo who did not test positive for COVID-19 until after his death on Monday.

To date, Equatorial Guinea has reported a total of 84 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death, seven cured, and one repatriated to Europe, according to health authorities. Enditem
