Sitting governor wins all LGAs

As expected, incumbent governor, Adams Oshiomhole has won the gubernatorial elections in Edo state.

The sitting governor in a massive landslide for his party, won all 18 local government areas in the state.

The governor recorded 477,478 votes (72% of the total valid votes cast) against that of his closest rival, the PDP’s Charles Airhiavbere who had 144,235 votes.

The official results of the election show that the ACN had 477,478 votes, ANPP had 3,642 votes, CPC had 2,793, LP had 604 votes, NCP had 440 votes, PDP had 144,235 votes and SDMP had 807 votes. The results show less than 50% voter turnout because Edo state has 1.65million registered voters. These results do not count disenfranchised voters.
