The annual Zhejiang Agricultural Expo is being held from Nov. 25 to Nov. 29 in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province. This year’s theme is the promotion of an agricultural economy that is “efficient and ecological, characteristic, high-grade, green and safe.” As a large-scale national agricultural event, the expo has attracted more than 1,200 enterprises from all across the country to display more than 10,000 kinds of high-quality agricultural products. The most distinctive include one-meter-long glossy ganoderma, 30-kg giant salamander, a “king-crab” claiming a Guinness world record and a collection of ostrich, goose and peacock eggs. Before the opening, the province conducted a rating exercise of all the products to be exhibited and selected a group of outstanding products for recognition and reward.
