Seven people drowned after a boat they were in capsized on a river in Zambia’s Luangwa district, south of the capital Lusaka, local newspaper said on Thursday.
Police commissioner for Lusaka province, Charity Katanga, said the seven people died on the Zambezi River on Monday night on the Mozambican side after the boat they were in capsized on their way back from buying fish in the neighboring country.
The police chief said four of the deceased were Zambians including a police officer while three were Mozambicans. Two others survived. Enditem
