A two-day leadership summit on career path development underway


wpid-Leadership-newspaper-0804.jpgA leadership summit that aims at transforming the lives of the youth in various tertiary institutions and communities, through an open discussions and practical perceptive on career path development in underway in Accra.

The two day Enactus Ghana 2014 leadership summit which is on the theme: ?Sharing the Vision,? seeks to gather information from all student leaders of the 23 universities, brainstorm and discuss pragmatic measures that the power of entrepreneurial actions could be used to transform academic and after school career prospects.

Speaking at the annual summit, Mr Baba Sayuti, Country Leader, Enactus Ghana, noted that every year the team embarks on an educational project that solely tries to solve the economic, social and environmental issues of students, academia?s and the business fraternity of the country.

?We are dedicated towards the shaping of value-driven leaders who have the unique combination of character and competence to make a difference through whatever endeavour they choose?, he said.

Mr Sayuti said the objectives of Enactus Ghana as well as the summit do not end up at a focused dimension.

He said there is the commitment towards the use of expertise, time and resource persons to help new generations of young leaders in understanding the promises of businesses that would create meaningful and lasting change for their future.

He said the educational project which is a tripartite structure of students, academia?s and the business class also undertakes community outreach projects to develop communities as well for a better social, economic and environment goals to be achieved.

Mr Amar Deep, Chief Executive Officer, IPMC, College of advised students to be logical and good problem solvers.

Mr Deep also urged the public to respect time as time management and project management are the ultimate prizes in achieving milestones not only as individuals but the country at large.

The Enactus Ghana 2014 leadership summit brought other entrepreneurs together to educate students on multi-sectoral topics which included being successful in the job market, presentation on savings, career guidance, choosing the right career as well as breakout sessions for participants to educate themselves and deliberate on effective governance.

Some participants who spoke to the Ghana News Agency expressed satisfaction about the summit and called for more of such educative programmes to be inculcated in their curriculum.
