Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum?and governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Godswill Akpabio in a veil reference to the opposition All Progressive Congress (APC), on Tuesday declared that the ruling PDP would not concede or handover the reign of governance to sponsors of terrorism in the country.

This is just as he said that the APC, which he described as masters in blackmailing and agents of destabilisation has no plan for the country.
Akpabio, who stated this at the presidential declaration ceremony of President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja, said the opposition APC is fighting a selfish war and said that the PDP will not be intimidated.
The Chairman of the PDP Governors? Forum while acknowledging that the road to 2015 will not be smooth, however said that the party will be victorious in the forthcoming presidential election and therefore urged President Jonathan to declare saying the governors are behind him.
Akpabio said: “We were robbed of three states, but the entry of Ekiti and Ondo have increased our number. We may end up with about 30 states.
“We know that the road to 2015 will not be smooth but at the end of the day, we will be victorious. We will not be intimidated. Never again will our children been forced into terrorism, we say no.
“The opposition is fighting selfish war, they are coming to destabilise Nigeria. We will not handover this country to blackmailers, we will not handover this country to sponsor of terrorism,? Akpabio stressed.
In his own speech on behalf of PDP lawmakers, President of the Senate, David Mark said if President Jonathan does not come back in 2015, the programmes he initiated would be truncated.
Mark said PDP was the first to agree that Nigeria has security challenges, adding that the problem would soon be overcome.
He therefore urged President Jonathan to bring the activities of terrorists in the country to an end.
