Tagoe daring Ashie after the press conference

Emmanuel ?Game Boy? Tagoe and George ?Red Tiger? Ashie have started trading words four weeks to their big clash, giving fans a taste of their expectedly uncompromising clash fixed for November 10 at the Accra Stadium.

Put together by the Baby Jet Boxing Promotions and sponsored by Vit?s Instant Noodles, the WBA international lightweight championship codenamed ?Clash of the kings?, will go into the country?s boxing history books as one of the most talked about clashes.

Faithful of the combatants further raised the stakes in the November showdown by chanting ?war songs and words? even before the boxers spoke at a media conference in Accra last Friday.

For Game Boy the fight is a mismatch and he promised to reduce his opponent to a piece of paper.

?I don?t see this as a big fight but the stakeholders had made it appear as such. I will stop him with ease. For me, I don?t respect anyone in boxing and I always beat Kotey Djanie and his boxers in all our encounters and the coming bout will not be an exception. Whatever boxing lessons he has for his boy, he should do it properly because I am fired up for them,? said Game Boy.

He said the real showdown would be unfolded during their weigh-in session prior to the big fight.

In a similar vein, Red Tiger and his corner men appealed to members of the boxing fraternity to come early to witness the early knockout.

Director of the Baby Jets Promotions and CEO of Asamoah Gyan Foundation Sammy Anim Addo pointed out that the clash will place the winner in the trail of the Azumahs, Ike Quarteys, Joshua Clotteys, Joseph Agbekos, among others.

The Special Guest of Honour, Joshua Clottey, gave assurance of an incident-free evening, stressing that there would be heavy security presence to check any form of violence.

Emmanuel Quartey and Raymond Commey will clash on the same bill in the National West Africa Boxing Union Super Bantamweight championship, while Prince Ofotsu and Michael Pappoe will clash in their National Super featherweight championship.

Samir Bastir will face Allan Suleman with Ahmed Saraku crossing swords with Eric Kwardey in their middleweight contest.
