In a bid to reduce the unnecessary political interference in the implementation of national education policies, civil society in a manifesto has proposed to the incoming political administration how the country’s education system should be governed come January 2013.

It is in this vein that Child Rights International and Action for Rural Education have embarked on a nationwide campaign to consult civil society groups on how Ghana’s education should be governed in the next four years.

Launching the manifesto in Accra, President of the GJA, Ransford Tetteh, noted that education is the most important sector of the economy and as such, politicians must place much emphasis on it.
