Although actor Chiwetel Ejiofor recently failed to ?proudly? embrace his Nigerian roots on the Ellen DeGeneres, his people back home are not giving up on him. Ellen asked ?Where are you from?? and Chiwetel answered ?I?m from London?. Ellen followed up. ?Originally from London?? and Chiwetel answered ?Yeah. But my family is Nigerian.? Ouch!!!
Anyway, Enugu state, where Chiwetel?s father is from, took out a full page ad in The Nation newspaper to congratulate Chiwetel for his BAFTAs Best Actor win. Aint that sweet?
