Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak will visit the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday to take on the Porcupine Warriors Asante Kotoko as the First Capital Plus Premier League (FCPPL) enters its sixth week with lots of interesting fixtures.

With the titanic clash of Kotoko vrs Hearts in the midst no one needs to be told that that fixture will be dominating the tabloids both home and abroad.
A glance at the league table sees the league champions, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak separated by three points on the log. The Porcupine Warriors have accumulated 8 points and occupies the fifth position on the ladder whiles the Phobians are 13th on the log with 5 points.
Kotoko’s performance this season is a pale shadow of last season, but according to our sources, despite sharing point with All Stars in the midweek, the Porcupine Warriors produced a sterling show at the Wa Park.
Hearts of Oak may not be the Hearts that rocked Africa a little over a decade ago, but the central factor in Herbert Addo’s team is Gilbert Fiamenyo who has discovered his scoring boots to give Hearts structure up front.
The two teams are yet to convince their fans and a draw on Saturday will not be a bad result though Kotoko on paper looks slightly ahead of Hearts of Oak.
At the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman, Accra, scientific soccer lads, Liberty Professionals will welcome soccer miner’s AshantiGold fc in another equally gruelling encounter.
AshantiGold sit at the summit of the table with 12 points whiles Liberty Professionals lies seventh with 8 points. The visitor’s have not had a good run at the Carl Reindorf Park but if their current form is anything to go by then they can shock Liberty.
Aduana Stars will play as host to the apostles of Ghana soccer, BA United at the Osadieyo Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa. Aduana is third on the table with 10 points whiles the visitors is on 4 points and fourteenth on the table.
But the difference in points and position in this match does not matter much as Brong Ahafo derbies are no respecter of who is on top but who exudes luck on the match day.
At the Kpando Park, Hearts of Lions will engage Inter Allies in a home take all affair. Both sides have 7 points, but the Lions are one step ahead of the visitors on the log on eighth position whiles Inter Allies occupies the ninth spot.
Medeama Sporting Club will welcome former continental championship campaigners, Berekum Chelsea at the Tarkwa T&A Park. Chelsea’s performance so far looks quite better than Medeama but the home side is likely to run away with the three maximum points on Saturday.
New Edubiase United will play as host to All Stars at the Nana Gyamfi Park in Edubiase. The home side is fifteenth on the ladder with 4 points whiles the visitors are sixth on the log with 8 points. All Stars have picked some points on the road and could wrestle for a draw in Bekwai but trust New Edubiase to win by a slim margin.
New entrant, West African Football Academy (WAFA) will make a journey up Brong Ahafo to play as guest to Bechem United at the Bechem Park. Both sides have 6 points, but Bechem lies tenth on the ladder whiles WAFA is eleventh.
