Hanover goalkeeper and captain Ron-Robert Zieler has said he wishes to leave the club after relegation from the Bundesliga was confirmed last weekend.
“I am very ambitious,” he said in a Facebook post Tuesday, which also paid tribute to Hanover as a club and city. “And my goal is to play top-flight football in the coming season.
“There have been inquiries but a decision has not yet been made.”
Zieler was part of the Germany squad which won the 2014 World Cup and has been one of the better performers this season for bottom club Hanover.
