He also assured that while government will not allow them to stay long at the IDPs camps federal government will not tolerate a situation where the IDPs will suffer.
He charged all the agencies in charge of the IDPs to cooperate and support with one another collaboratively towards providing the IDPs with all the necessary things they need.
The president therefore tasked NEMA to liaise with the Borno State Government BOSG and other contributing agencies to cater for the IDPs while appreciating the efforts of world agencies or donors like Red Cross Society, Doctors without Border, BOSG and all those who have contributed or assisted in catering for the IDPs in all the IDPs vamps within and outside the state.

He also commended the efforts of the State Governor Kashim Shettima in managing the boko haram crisis and supporting the IDPs pointing out that such is part of the Leadrship challenges that he also faced when he was a governor in Bayelsa State.

Goodluck said “It is sad. Nobody is happy about what is happening in borno state and other parts of the north. The issue of terrorism or boko haram is tough and never easy”.
“I feel traumatized when I hear or read there is attack here and there. I don’t sleep. Government is willing to ensure that you don’t stay here too long at the IDPs camps. Very soon we will relocate you to your houses immediately the areas are taken over and are secured”, Jonathan said.

“Even those that are I’m neighbouring cpuntires will be back. Government will not allow the IDPs to stay for long. I don’t want any IDP to suffer. Govermentt will not allow any IDP to suffer. You must take good Carr of them. Meet their needs before we relocate them back home. All the agencies must work together to ensure the IDPs did not suffer”, Goodluck added.

“I appreciate the efforts of the Red Cross Society and other agencies. I assure you that the IDPs will not stay here for long but within the period they will stay here they should not suffer”, Jonathan said.
