The people of kumasi the seat of the Asantehene, King of the Ashanti Kingdom, have thrown their unflinching support behind their king, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, despite the loss of his jewels.
The Asantehene recently lost some ancestral jewels when they were stolen at a hotel lobby in Norway. This news was received with shock and surprise from Ghanaians and many people gave their interpretations according to their knowledge on traditions and customs. Some even stated that the King could be destooled if he returns to Ghana without the jewels.
With all this, the people of Kumasi have indicated that they are behind the King. They indicated that after the King ascended the thrown, he has done nothing but bring development to the people of Asanteman. They stated that the loss of jewels therefore will not change the love they have for the King.
