Ghana Fa Boss Blasts ?indisciplined? Zambia Ahead Of Today?s Cracker

Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has lashed at ?indisciplined? Zambia for suggesting Ghanaian authorities are responsible for their arrival woes.

The Chipolopolo team arrived a day late to Ghana for the deciding 2014 World Cup qualifier against the Black Stars due to their inability to secure a landing permit for their chartered flight at the non-international Kumasi Airport.

The Zambians were first supposed to have landed in Ghana?s capital Accra, before connecting to a local flight to Kumasi – where the crucial match will be played.

The team as a result were only able to arrive on Thursday ? a day to the match.

The Chipolopolo team didn?t even arrive in time to hold their final training session.

But the Zambian media have complained bitterly ? claiming it a deliberate attempt by the Ghanaian authorities to frustrate their team.

But GFA boss Nyantakyi says the Zambians have themselves to blame for their woes over their indiscipline.

?We don?t plan for our opponents, we didn?t ask them to come late,? he said.

?They could have been here on Monday, they could have been here last Sunday. Nobody asked them to arrive here on Wednesday ? two days ahead of the match

?And nobody also knew they wanted to fly directly into Kumasi. We all know that Kumasi does not have an international airport.

?The Kumasi airport has some international civil aviation concerns expressed by the authorities. It is undergoing some renovations now.

?And so certain categories of aircrafts cannot land in Kumasi. So you don?t decide to travel and then on the day of the travel you apply for a permit.

?I think we must be disciplined and we must also know that football is played according to rules.

?And we have to abide by the rules. If you are indisciplined you cannot blame somebody else for the woes arising out of your indicipline. You cannot!

?So Zambia has no case. If they have a case FIFA would intervened but they cannot even seek the intervention from FIFA because we have done the right thing and our authorities have done the right thing and we stand by them.?
