Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko

Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko on Monday played host to the participants of course 22 of the National Defence College, Abuja who paid him a courtesy visit in his Alagbaka, Akure office.
The participants are in the state on a geo-strategic study tour.
Speaking with the participants  on his administration’s policies during the visit, Dr Mimiko said  his administration’s development paradigm is all inclusive and targeted at empowering the less privileged.
Dr Mimiko  noted that his administration  has implemented programmes and projects to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor, adding that the societal growth in terms of empowerment of the people, particularly the most vulnerable has also been prioritised.
He stressed that human and physical developments as  catalyst for the socio-economic transformation have also been given  serious attention under his administration.
He assured that the 30-megawatt power plant being constructed by his administration in Ore would boost industrialization in the state when completed. 
His words: “Our development paradigm is all inclusive, most of our programmes are targeted towards bridging the gap between the rich and the poor. Our mega schools for example are well equipped with ICT facilities so that children of the poor in the society are not deprived of access to quality education”.
He added: “Our urban renewal programme, construction of regional and neighbourhood markets across the state, modern motor parks, all of these are meant to empower the most vulnerable in our society.
?Especially  in our mother and child hospitals, you’ll see the wives of the rich and the poor in the same ward, because of the quality of service and of course at no cost at all”.
The Governor commended the Nigerian military for its professionalism and discipline in the peace keeping assignments outside the shore of the country. 
Earlier in his speech, the leader of the team, Air Commodore Yusuf Isah said the study tour was aimed at acquitting the participants with the various developmental programmes in the state.
