Namibian president and chairperson of the Southern African Development Community Hage Geingob and president of Guinea Alpha Conde agreed to implement the African Continental Free Trade Area to facilitate free movement of goods and services at the continental level.
The two leaders also agreed to enhance political and diplomatic consultations between the two countries.
They also committed to strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas including industrialization, trade and agriculture and livestock, and safety and security, said a joint communique issued by the leaders at the end of the state visit to Namibia by Conde.
Geingob and Conde reiterated their renewed commitment in attaining energy self-sufficiency and noted the importance of the Africa Renewable Energy Initiative in attaining the objectives and the aspirations of the African Union Agenda 2063.
Conde was in Namibia for a two-day visit on May 8 to 9, 2019. Enditem
