NDC candidate promises to transform municipality

Alhaji Mohammed Kwaku Doku, the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Asunafo North, has pledged to rebrand the municipality to woo both local and foreign investors, if elected.

He said as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area, he had led the assembly to indentify viable economic potentials that needed to be showcased to attract more investment.

He was speaking to journalists on the sidelines of public forum held in Goaso to highlight the development achievements of the assembly.

Alhaji Doku said it “would be a disaster” for the voters to refuse to elect him to represent them in parliament.

He expressed the fear that many on-going projects in the municipality would be abandoned should the people decide to vote down the NDC in the coming general election.

He announced that the assembly had completed 68 boreholes to give the people access to safe drinking water and added to these were two modern slaughter houses in Goaso and Mim.

Besides, 5,000 bicycles had been supplied to basic school children, a district police headquarters built at Mim and a municipal assembly block in Goaso.
