The Electoral Act amendment bill, 2014, Tuesday passed for the second reading on the floor of the House of Representatives.
Titled ‘A Bill for an Act to further amend the Electoral Act, No. 6, 2010, the bill is to ensure equity for all participants in the electoral process and transparency in the process of conducting elections in Nigeria and for other matters connected therewith.
Sponsored Hon. Daniel Reyenieju (PDP, Delta). debate on the bill was stalled last Thursday as more lawmakers needed time to contribute.
