The National Service Authority has released PIN codes for 121,754 prospective personnel, opening online registration for the 2026/2027 service year from August 12 to 26.

The release follows a validation exercise covering 144,023 submissions from tertiary institutions nationwide, of which 122,712 were approved and 121,754 unique PIN codes generated. Another 958 approved submissions have not yet been promoted pending further checks, while 21,311 submissions, roughly 15 percent of the total, were rejected and withheld for additional identity verification. The NSA said the review, conducted with relevant regulatory institutions, was designed to screen out duplicate, inflated and irregular submissions and admit only graduates from accredited institutions.

Applicants can activate their PIN codes at posting.gnsa.gov.gh, where they must pay a registration fee via mobile money before accessing the enrolment platform. Registration also requires facial biometric verification against Ghana Card records held by the National Identification Authority, along with a valid GhanaPost GPS address to support accurate, proximity-based deployment.

During registration, applicants can indicate interest in two optional tracks: a pre-deployment Basic Military Training orientation, which the NSA said will not affect subsequent posting to assigned agencies, and the NSA Agriculture Deployment Programme, which places participants at agricultural project sites for their service period as part of the government’s food security and agribusiness push.

The NSA is urging tertiary institutions with unresolved accreditation status to engage the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission to regularize their standing, as graduates from those institutions cannot be mobilized until accreditation is confirmed. Under Section 29(1) of the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), eligibility for service is limited to Ghanaian citizens who have completed a course of study at a tertiary institution. The Authority has urged eligible graduates to complete registration before the August 26 deadline to avoid delays in deployment.
