The Ghana Police Service in partnership with Olive 360 Limited has unveiled another laudable initiative dubbed: Police Station Signage” in the country.

IMG_20150325_221805The initiative seeks to providing signposts and education billboards for all Police Stations across the country. Addressing the media during the unveiling session, the Director General of Operations, COP/Mr. John Kudalor, noted that there are numerous signages and billboards advertising various institutions , products and services all over the country.

This he said, hardly before one could see signages indicating the presence of the Police Stations and Posts in various communities. Adding that, such a situation is making it difficult for strangers to locate the police in times of need.

According to him, the essence of Police in the society cannot be overemphasized since the Police features very prominently in the lives of the people. That is ranging from demonstrations , business transactions, marriages, festivals and funerals.

He said, it is in this regard the Police Administration is striving to put measures, policies and structures in place to satisfy the good people of Ghana.

“In this regard, mention can be made of numerous Police Stations and posts being put up all over the country with the support of our stakeholders to bring policing to the doorsteps of the people , the implementation of the Visibility Policing Concept, the Formed Police Unit , the revival of the Marine Police Unit , and the Public Confidence Reaffirmation Programme” he explained.

According to him, the Police Administration will explore ways of making the work of the police more effective and efficient.

COP Kudalor, commended Olive 360 Limited for their partnership with the Police in advancing the reforms agenda of the service.

He therefore called on other institutions to emulate the judicious step taken by the company.

The Managing Director of Oliver 360 Limited Mr. Elvis G. Nukporpe, said the company is assisting to provide sign posts at all Police Stations, and billboards at selected locations across the country to enhance operations.

Adding that, the initiative would also give the police a unique branding. According to him, the company has also supported the service in the past by mounting shelters at all ECOWAS approved Police barriers in the country to serve the interest of both the police and the general public.

Mr. Nukporpe, has therefore called on corporate organizations , stakeholders, NGOs, Philanthropist to support the project, by sponsoring the signposts and billboards in order achieve the desired goal.
