The cause of her death has not been disclosed
The mother of Nigeria’s dynamic music duo, PSquare, has passed on.
Josephine Okoye died on Wednesday night in an Indian hospital where she had been receiving medical treatment.
She had been reportedly ill for a while and was earlier admitted at St. Nichols Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, before being flown to India.
Josephine had passionately supported her kids; although a Christian minister, she encouraged the duo, Peter and Paul, in their music career, giving her full backing long before it became profitable.
Her last public appearance was at the Duo’s fifth album launch, ‘The Invasion’ concert, in August 2011.
Nothing has been heard from the Okoye brothers, Peter, Paul and Jude.
