Says only dialogue can be used to resolve grievances

The wife of the president, Dame Patience Jonathan, has sued for peaceful coexistence in the country, saying it is the only way the nation can grow.
The first lady, while speaking on Sunday in Lagos at the child dedication ceremony of Hon. Waripamo-Owei Dudafa, the Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Domestic Matters, advised Nigerians to co-exist peacefully with one another irrespective of their tribal or religious affiliation.
According to the First Lady, only peace can guarantee sustainable and speedy development in the country.
“Without peace, we cannot grow. I appeal to every aggrieved person to realise that dialogue remains the only way out of every grievance,” she said.
The ceremony, which was held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Fountain of Love Parish, Lagos, had in attendance several dignitaries, including the Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson.
Dickson, in his remarks at the occasion, expressed his amazement at the huge attendance at the event, noting that “such a congregation will foster unity and reduce bickering”.
Sola Saheed, the church’s Senior Pastor, in his message titled ‘The Mystery of Grace’, urged the congregation to use the grace upon their lives to reach the needy.
