The accused persons allegedly robbed a Banana Island residence

Three men were, on Monday, arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate Court in Lagos, for alleged robbery and attack on some residents of Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The accused persons: Abubakar Ali, Abdullahi Ibrahim, and Abdulraman Abdullahi, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, ASP Julius Oyakhilome, told the court that they conspired and robbed some residents of Banana Island on September 6.
According to him, the men, armed with knives, robbed three residents (names withheld) of their valuables.
Oyakhilome said the accused persons dispossessed the residents of N940,000, three cell phones and a gold wristwatch.
He said the offences, which were committed at 4.05 a.m. at a house on the Island, contravened Sections 296 (2) (a), (b) and 409 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State.
Magistrate M. Ope-Agbe granted the accused persons bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties each in like sum.
The case was adjourned to September 24.
