Tension is brewing in Adenta as the Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Frances Asiam is believed to have organized thugs to pull down campaign bill boards belonging to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Mr. Ashie Moore.

Investigations have led to the fact that, many bill boards erected by the NDC candidate have been destroyed with his posters defaced. This development is however affecting Mr. Moore’s campaign.

Speaking in an interview with The Moment, the NDC Adenta Constituency Chairman Alhaji BaBa hinted that there bill boards are being pulled down by their opponent, just to destroy their camping. He mentioned that, Frances Asiam has decided to employ that strategy after coming to terms with realities that she cannot wrestle and win the seat.

According to Alhaji Baba, they woke up last Friday just to hear that their candidate’s bill boards have been destroyed with some pulled down.

He averred that when he sent people to check on the bill boards, they met some “big men” believed to belong to Frances Asiam’s camp, around the bill boards.

He also indicated that, the NDC in Adenta is not having problems with the NPP and as such can state that there was absolute peace until the biometric registration exercise.

Alhaji Baba stressed that the NDC Parliament Candidate Ash Moore is doing his best to win the seat, calling on the NPP to forget winning the seat.

BaBa said the NDC government is sure of retaining power considering the many achievements it chalked over the past three years, adding that the people of Ghana have benefited a lot from the government’s policies in areas of the economy, infrastructure, health and education.
