The Lagos state government is investigating situation leading to the hacking of its website a terrorist group.
Persecondnews.com has reported that the hackers left a message on the official website of the Lagos state, http://www.lagosstate.gov.ng, accusing it of being a terrorist.
The message is said to be in Arabic listed the USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar as sponsors of terrorism.
An official said that the content of its website was affected, but the hackers did not succeed in directing traffic to another site.
The official said that the hacking of its website only bolsters its stance against terrorism in all its form and sources.
“The State government works in full coordination with the competent authorities and agencies in the state to identify these terrorist hackers,” he said.
The Lagos State government has brought down the site as at 1.30pm Friday.
