I cannot deny my admiration for the peaceful conduct of the elections in my patria. For a second sometime yesterday, it seemed impossible to retain the peace but mercifully this was quickly reversed.I am elated that President Mahama has been able to change that inane cliche that a native from any of the northern regions of Ghana can never be elected as a head of State in Ghana. Hopefully we will have many more muslim surname-bearing leaders after his reign. He has also disproved that senseless belief that any aspiring leader must join an invisible queue. I am very happy for him, his family and Ghana.
The opposition must take this victory as a clear sign of rejection for their extravagant policies. I hope they recycle themselves and present a more formidable and electable candidate for 2016. Also, no free university education then!!! Keep it real with Ghanaians and they will reciprocate. People are discerning now so free SHS was a bad political rhetoric!
Thank God for the exciting outcome. Kudos to Ghana
