Kweli and Tugume signed a one-year rolling contract that will see the former book and organise international fights for the UPDF soldier. The first fight under Kweli is set for May 11 against German Reich Viktor at the UMA Exhibition Hall in Lugogo. It will end a traumatic spell for Kweli chief executive officer Patrick Kanyomozi in the aftermath of the controversial fight between Moses Golola and Hungarian Andreas Nagy. “The most important thing is that I am back,” Kanyomozi (pictured left) told the media yesterday.
“It’s a surprise to many and me as well because I didn’t know I would ever be back in this sport.” “This time it’s going to be perfect. There’s no room for error.” Tugume, the 2011 Uspa kick boxer of the year, will sign a payment deal prior to each fight. Tugume, who beat Malik Kaliisa in his professional debut last year, will get at least two fights annually under Kweli.
