????The much predicted snow storm that was reported to hit?Southern Toronto?did hit the area and tapered off some minutes after 8:00p.m?in the evening on March 12, 2014.
?? ? ?The snow after several hours dumped white powder or flurries on the ground that made the roads slippery and difficult for driving.
?????Usually when the white powder falls vehicles get slithering and sliding which throws cars into ditches that makes all to look for possible eventualities or casualties and provide the needed assistance victims will need to survive the scare.?
??????As the snow storm crippled?Toronto, multti-vehicle crashes were recorded which claimed lives of two persons.
???????By the evening after the snow has tapered off, more than 220 departing and 180 arriving flights from and to?Pearson International?Airport?in?Mississauga?in Greater Toronto Area [GTA], were cancelled.?
????????At the time of filing this story around 4:35p.m on March 13, 2014 a day after the storm, all roads in the city had been cleared for safe driving but extreme cold weather alert still in place.?
???????The City of?Toronto?has a fleet of 600 snow plows, 300 side walk plows and 200 salt trucks to keep the city clear and moving any time snow falls.?
???????It also has a budget of 80 million dollars and over for snow removal which breaks down to 30 dollars per each person each year and response crew are available 24/7 all year round.
