Leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Akua Donkor has shifted her 2016 presidential ambitions into gear already after she was seen with samples of her posters.
With three-and-a-half years to go for the 2016 Elections and even the winner of the 2012 polls being contested in court, Madam Donkor?s sublime campaign comes as a surprise.
She says she is starting her campaign early so that the circumstances that led to her disqualification from the last election is prevented.
Madam Donkor was disqualified from contesting the 2012 elections as Ghana?s first female presidential candidate after the Electoral Commission (EC) found anomalies with her filing forms.
On her ?Akua Donkor For President 2016′ posters, the full time farmer promises ?free port, free education, refining our oil, gold and other natural resources for ready market etc?.
Her party?s motto still remains ?Love and Unity?.
After her disqualification from last year?s elections, Madam Donkor joined the campaign team of Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom of the Progressive People?s Party (PPP), which polled 64, 362 of the total valid votes cast.
The GFP, however, polled 77 votes in the parliamentary elections. (TV3NETWORK)
