THE 2012 Presidential Candidate of the Convention People?s Party (CPP) says it is time for the electorate to hand over the political baton to the CPP for real economic growth and transformation.

Dr Abu Sakara said Ghanaians will be better off under a CPP administration with a major priority of creating jobs and opportunities for all, especially the youth.

He further noted that 55 years after independence many Ghanaians still lack access to basic amenities like potable water, electricity, housing and quality health care.

??The CPP?s ?new way forward? agenda will ensure massive improvement in these areas. We will build a society that people live in and feel comfortable to work. Create prosperity for all and depart from the way of prosperity for just a few,? he said.

He was speaking at a meeting with the Ada Traditional Council when he paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Ada.

According to Mr. Sakara under his leadership, the CPP will live up to its tradition of selfless, dedicated and committed service to the people.

Nene Kabu Abram Ackuaku III, Paramount Chief for Ada on his part noted the CPP is not new to the system and expressed his joy to the flag bearer for the vibrancy his election has brought into the party.

According to him though chiefs are not supposed to be actively involved in politics, it is his prayer that the CPP wins political power come December 7.

Dr Sakara thanked his hosts for warm reception accorded him before continuing to Hohoe to help find an amicable solution to the impasse that has ensued between indigenous Ewes and Muslim settlers in that community.

He emphasized the need to live together as one people with one common destiny, he said

At Hohoe, the CPP flag bearer appealed to the Muslim community to cooperate with authorities along the road to peace lasting.

He presented a token gift to the Gbi Traditional Council (drinks meant for prayers), as well as cash towards rebuilding the Gbi chief?s palace.

He also presented four bags of rice and an undisclosed amount of money to support the affected people within the Muslim community.

He was accompanied by General Secretary, Ivor Greenstreet, 2nd National Vice Chairperson, Rodaline Imoru-Ayarna and National Campaign Manager, Thomas Ntumy among other leading CPP members.
