Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan is set to undergo a scan on Monday evening after he sustained an injury in Ghana?s 3-0 quarter-final win over Guinea last Sunday.

Gyan was hit in the abdomen by on-rushing Guinean goalkeeper Naby Yattara in the dying embers of the match. The 31-year-old Arles Avignon goalie received a straight red at the incident.
But on Monday, Gyan was made to travel to Mongomo for a Magnetic Resonance Imagery (MRI) scan to ascertain the extent of the injury.
The result of the scan is expected on Tuesday.
His availability for the semi-final clash against hosts Equatorial Guinea on Thursday is in doubt, as a result.
?We are awaiting the results of the scan and then I would be in the position to know whether I can count on him on Thursday,? said Head Coach Avram Grant at the team?s recovery session on Monday.
