Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed his satisfaction with the voting process.
He said having gone through the process, he was satisfied and that if it should continue that way, the results of the election would be credible and accepted by all.
Nana Akufo-Addo made the statement after casting his vote at 1050 hours at the Rock of Ages Academy School Polling Station at Kyebi.
Nana Akufo-Addo was accompanied by his wife, Rebecca, and their two daughters, his brother, Mr Edward Akufo-Addo, and they all cast their votes at the same polling station.
He said the process was the simplest in voting that he had ever experienced and acknowledged that reports reaching him indicate that the process is fair and peaceful.
The polling station has a voter population of 870 and at the time Nana Akufo-Akufo cast his ballot, 100 people had already voted.
The Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amotia Ofori Panin, his wife and the Okyenhemaa, Nana Dokua, voted at the Kyebi Methodist Primary polling station.
