Birmingham City boss Lee Clark left Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Akwasi Asante out of his squad for Birmingham City?s pre-season tour of the Republic of Ireland.
The 21-year-old is aiming to seal a permanent place in the Blues regular squad for the upcoming season but things have not started off well for him.
Clark refused to include him in his squad for the trip though he is not injured.
Ghanasoccernet.com checks at the Wast Hills Training Ground reveal Asante was fit enough to travel to Ireland with the squad but he was just left out of the squad.
Birmingham City have already played two friendlies and won both of them ? 3-1 over Alfreton Town and 4-0 thrashing of Shamrock Rovers.
Youngster Koby Arthur, a 17-year-old Ghanaian is already looking promising for Clark and he is set to unleash him for the coming season.
As things stand, Asante might not feature in Birmingham?s plans for next season and could go on his third loan spell.
