Legendary Ghanaian music producer Edward Osei Poku, a.ka.a Hammer of the Last Two says one of his foremost compositions ‘Alampan’ by Jay Dee, remains a personal favourite.
In an interview with Jay Foley and Jeremie on the Live Breakfast Club on Live 91.9 FM, the celebrated producer said the song still works for him because it was the very first time he worked at the then Hush Hush studios.
“I still love it because of the emotional connection… it was my first time at the Hush Hush studios.”
One of Ghana’s most respected heads in music production, he is credited with unearthing today’s biggest mainstream acts including Sarkodie, Kwaw Kese, Kwabena Kwabena, and Edem, among a host of others.
