The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC Borno State has disqualified the former Governor of Borno state Senator Ali Modu Sheriff to run for the 2015 Borno Central Senatorial District election .
The substitution of Senator Ali Sheriff as the Borno central senatorial candidate under the platform of the PDP with the next highest wining votes aspirant at the PDP primary election who became second during the primary election.

Investigation revealed that the former governor sheriff was disqualified may not be unconnected to authentification of educational qualification documents and issue of waiver at the party level where majority of the members and supporters of PDP at the national, zonal, state and local levels are opposed to his candidature uptil the closure of submission of completed nomination and verification forms by INEC.

Similarly, INEC released the comprehensive list of all the verified candidates of all the contesting political parties Wednesday in Maiduguri borno state capital substituting Senator Ali Sherriff with Comrade Mohammed Kachallah for Borno Central Senatorial Seat.

The news of the substitution of Senator Ali Sheriff was received with jubilation by many borno residents and PDP members as well as supporters of Alhaji Gambo Lawan, the replaced or substituted PDP Governorship Flag bearer who won the PDP governorship primary election held at the PDP national headquarters Wadata house Abuja but SAS influenced his replacement or substitution with Alhaji Mohammed Imam, the former MMC Chairman, State Commissioner and defunct ANPP State Chairman, Borno State through the presidency as President Jonathan Goodluck gave Imam the part flag in Lagos during his presidential campaign last week.

Although it was learnt that the National Chairman of the PDP Alhaji Adamu Muazu has a rift with Senator Ali sheriff and the duo are at par with each other since their leadership period as governors of borno and Bauchi States respectively which all are still nursing overtly and covertly even in public. From their actions and utterances.
